The former Jr. Future Gamer and Louisiana Tech recruit had himself quite the night last Thursday in the Eagles 13-1 win over Barbe. Smith opened up the scoring for Live Oak in the top of the 1st with a two-run HR to put the Eagles up 2-0. In his second at-bat, he belted his second home run of the night on a 1-1 pitch. He then hit a RBI single back up the middle in this third at-bat on a two-strike hanging CB to put Live Oak up 8-1 in the Top of the 4th. Smith then capped his historic night off in fashion in his last at-bat with another two-run HR to RF to put the Eagles up 13-1. On the night, he finished 4-4 at the plate with the 3 HR's, 6 RBI, and 3 R.

Begins in an athletic wide stance with a quick load, then uses a small leg kick right before his swing. Showed above average bat speed, as well as a level swing plane and extension on his finish. In the round, found some barrels. Pull side approach. Behind the plate, had consistent pop times of 2.36-2.44. Best recorded velocity during throw downs was clocked at 66 mph; has sure hands and quick footwork. He clocked a 60 time of 8.55 at the event.
