2/28/18 - 6’2/195, L/R, Junior. A member of the D1 Baseball pre-season Just Missed Top 100 list, Feduccia should have been rated higher. Can we have a mulligan? While playing in the Northwoods League last summer as an undrafted free agent, he attracted some attention by scouts to sign after the draft. Now at LSU Feduccia continues to improve and gain even more attention. He shows advanced blocking skills, softly redirecting the ball to home plate. His strong hands consistently stick pitches. With continued work he should develop pitch framing and strike-stealing abilities similar to his predecessor, Mike Papierski who is now a prospect in the Houston Astros organization. Between innings Feduccia tends to stand up to throw to second base with a long draw, but during the game he explodes out of his stance, gets behind the baseball and produces 4-seam true carry to second base with 1.88 - 2.01 POP times. Offensively, Feduccia has a keen eye at the plate and rarely chases pitches out of the strike zone. He has average bat speed despite a dead start to his swing. His on-base skills and developing power are an intriguing combination. Feduccia is a good athlete who will be able to stay behind the plate. He should be selected in the earlier rounds of Day 2 this June.
