Jake LaRocca: 3B/RHP, (2023) Barbe, LA. 6-foot, 185-pound solid frame. During the event, he clocked a 60 time of 7.5. At the plate, the right-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 83 mph. Begins in a balanced open  stance, has a smooth load and uses a short stride to start his swing. Displays a flat swing plane, as well as quick bat speed and high finish. In the infield, showed his ability to throw 81 mph across the diamond; has soft hands and athletic footwork. Had a high ¾ slot and a quick arm action.

8/01/19

Physical 6-foot, 185-pound frame. Right-handed hitter hits from a tall, upright stance using a small stride step to create momentum, slightly rotational swing with small hand hitch prior to launch that didn’t affect timing in game. Gets good extension through contact resulting in an 83 mph exit velocity. Showed some natural ability in the outfield, picked out hops well, clean exchanges and medium arm circle into a high-¾ release turning in an 83 mph positional velocity. Looks to be a much more natural infielder with fluid actions, soft hands, smooth exchanges and the ability to throw from multiple arm slots turning in an 83 mph positional velocity from the infield. Developing athlete turned in a 7.54 60-yard dash.

8/01/19

Right-handed pitcher with an athletic delivery, smooth rhythm, in-line direction, lands square and finishes in an athletic position. Clean, compact arm action into high-3/4 release with easy effort and quality arm speed. Pitched 80-84 mph with his fastball showing true feel to pitch. Competes on both sides of the plate with advanced fastball command and solid arm-side run. Breaking ball showed solid spin with depth and 11/5 shape at 67-69 mph.
