5'10" 155 lbs. lean and wiry frame. The Tulane recruit got the start for the Eagles in last Thursday's matchup against defending state champion Barbe, and was brilliant. Weller worked at a quick pace and wasted no time attacking hitters with a 83-87 mph FB that showed good ride and carry through the zone with spin rates of 2539 RPM's. He also showed the ability to land a 70-73 mph CB and 72-75 mph CH to both RHH's and LHH's for strikes and swing and miss. Weller ended up tossing 7 1/3 innings and gave up only 1 H, 1 R, and 0 ER with 4 BB and 3 K's.

Fall reports out of Watson, LA were positive on the 5'10" 155 lbs. right-handler, so we were excited to see him on Saturday against U-High. The Tulane recruit competes at a high-level and works at a super quick pace, wasting no time in between pitches. Weller attacked hitters with a 85-87 mph FB that played best to his glove-side, while also showing the ability to land a short/tight top-to-bottom 70-73 mph CB. He will be an integral part of what looks to be a really good Eagles pitching staff this spring.
