6'1" 180 lbs. athletic high-waisted frame with long limbs. The Parkview Baptist product continues to increase his stock this spring. Mitchell got the start for the Eagles against one of the better lineups in the state in West Monroe, and turned in a really good outing. He attacked hitters with a 85-89 mph FB, topping out at 90 mph, which is a new personal best, and his 74-77 mph SL showed flashes at times. Mitchell finished going 4 2/3 IP and gave up 5 H and 2 ER with 3 BB and 5 K's on 79 pitches (53 Strikes | 26 Balls). The uncommitted junior is an athletic mover down the slope with a loose and easy arm stroke that continues to show jumps, which is why he's one of the top uncommitted arms in the state's 2025 class.

Mitchell was a standout performer at our State Games event this past fall and he continued to show that he's trending in the right direction this past Saturday. Noticeably stronger and more physical, as he's gained around 20 lbs. over the off-season, and now stands in at 6'1" 185 lbs. The Parkview Baptist product is a smooth mover down the slope with a loose & easy arm action, and on Saturday, he sat 88-89 mph with his FB, which is a tick up from when we last saw him in October of last year. His mid-70's SL tunneled well off his FB with some sweep across the zone. Mitchell ended up tossing one inning of no-hit baseball with one strikeout as well. He's firmly cemented himself as one of the "must-see" uncommitted arms in Louisiana's 2025 class for college recruiters, and him being young for his class makes him even more appealing.
