Will Mabry: Cathedral High School, Class of 2023; 5-foot-7, 140-pound solid frame; SS/RHP. During batting practice, the left-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 75 mph. Starts in balanced tall stance, has a smooth load and uses a leg kick. Bat speed was quick, exhibited a flat swing plane and good extension on his finish. In the infield, his best throw was registered at 63 mph; had soft hands, quick footwork and a clean exchange. Had a short arm action with a high ¾ slot. During the event, he ran the 60-yard dash in 8.1.
A very balanced approach at the plate with quick hands and level bat path allows him to hit the ball well to all fields. Has solid feet and hands in the infield with a quick release.
