6-foot-2, 240-pound right-handed hitting first baseman and pitcher. Tee exit velocity of 92 as the frame is big and very strong. The set up is even in base, the front foot is picked up and put down as the ball approaches. The feet are under control at all times. The swing is simple to the ball, back spun the ball throughout the batting practice session. Ran a 4.91 down the line on his dig to first base. Solid at the bag at first, the glove is appropriate and he moves his feet during the ground ball work. Threw 76 mph across the diamond. Solid prospect with the bat being his main tool. If he hits, he could be a monster.
Tee Exit Velocity- 92 mph
INF Velocity- 76 mph
6-foot-3, 225-pound right-handed hitting first baseman. Showed a solid glove at first base, the footwork around the bag are solid. Threw 75 mph across the diamond out of a clean arm path. He moves well for a big guy, good feel for the game. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 91 mph. Starts with his feet wide, front foot open. The path needs to be flattened as the swing is currently in and out of the zone. The potential to hit for power is present, the hands are strong and fast. Also pitches, but did not pitch at the event. Solid follow on the mound and with the bat.
Tee Exit Velocity- 91 mph
INF Velocity- 75 mph
6-foot-3, 225-pound right-handed hitting first baseman and pitcher. On the mound, the fastball touched 80 mph with arm side run to it. The spin pitch sat at 69 mph, a tad big but the shape is headed in the right direction. The delivery is athletic, lift and go. The direction of his feet and front shoulder needs to be fixed as he runs away from the target, leaving his arm dragging. Offensively, tee exit velocity of 88 mph. The set up is even with his feet, the front foot being closed off. The hands are simple and get the barrel to the ball, his swing has a chance to produce power down the road. The bottom half needs a little more balance to it, as he steps across to hit. Ran a 4.8 down the line on his dig. The glove is good at first base and shows the ability to handle the position. Threw 76 mph across the field.
Tee Exit Velocity- 88 mph
INF Velocity- 76 mph
Big and physical right-handed hitter that did a nice job at the event. The bat is advanced as he hammered the ball all over the yard during the game. Sets up with a wide base and the swing is under control throughout. The path is long and flat to the ball. Stays inside the ball at contact and shows serious power potential at the plate. Tee exit velocity of 86 mph. Ran a 4.91 on his dig to first base. The glove is solid at first, the footwork is done properly. Threw 76 mph across the diamond. On the mound, showed an athletic lift, small coil and glove pull as he strides. The slot is ¾ and the tracking of the shoulders needs to improve. Fastball sat 76-80 mph with minimal arm side run. The spin pitch is short, 65-67 mph. The changeup has the makings of being good, sits at 70 mph. Potential in both spots. Good looking prospect.
