Shea is a 5-foot-11, 135-pound left-handed hitting outfield prospect. He hits out of a narrow, tall stance. The hands are relaxed just off the back shoulder. The swing begins with a short stride and a pushing back of the hands. The bat path is slightly uphill and produced a max exit velocity of 70 MPH during the batting practice. The finish is balanced and he remains on plane through contact. He also ran an 8.65 second sixty.

Defensively, Shea was 65 MPH on his throws from the outfield. The feet were good, allowing him to use good fundamentals to field a ground ball. The glove is relaxed as he fields and transitions into the throwing position. He uses a long arm swing and does fall off to the glove side as he finishes through the play.

On the mound, the young left-hander uses simple movements to get balanced over the rubber. As he heads down the mound, he creates a consistent line with home plate.
