Cameron Grindle: RHP/1B, (2023) Xaverian Brothers, MA. 6-foot-2, 200-pound athletic solid build. Projectable and above average at the plate, the right-handed hitter's 97 mph exit velocity ranks him 2nd at the event. (75.81 mph bat speed average). (22.47 mph hand speed average). Began in an athletic open stance with a small load, then used a controlled closed stride. Bat speed was explosive developing, had an uphill loose swing plane and good extension on his finish. During his round he produced loud contact and found lots of barrels. Gap to gap approach. Projectable in the infield, recorded a position velocity of 79 mph; had smooth athletic footwork, soft hands, and a clean exchange. Fielded the ball out front with developing movement laterally. Showed a quick loose arm action and a high ¾ slot. In the 60-yard dash, recorded a time of 7.34. Above average projectable on the mound, has a high ¾ arm angle with quick arm action. Up-tempo type pitcher and uses easy effort. Has a consistent balance point and in line shoulders. Lands closed with an athletic finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 81-86 mph; has a heavy fastball that shows slight running action and arm side command. (Max spin 2248; Avg 2168). He showed glove side command and tight late action on his 12/6 curveball (66-70). (Max spin 2333; Avg 2165).

Hit: (RHH) Projectableand  above average. Started in an athletic open stance with a small load, then used a controlled closed stride. Explosive developing bat speed. Good extension on his finish, uphill loose swing. Gap to gap approach. 

Power: 97 mph exit velocity, average 89.07 mph. 75.81 mph bat speed average. 22.47 mph hand speed average. 2nd highest at the event. 

Defense:  (IF) Soft hands, smooth athletic footwork, clean exchange. Projectable.  Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were developing. 

Arm: 79 mph infield velocity. Quick loose arm action, high ¾ slot. 

Speed: 7.34 (60-yard).

Pitching: Above average projectable. Up-tempo delivery, easy effort. High ¾ arm angle, quick arm action. Consistent balance point, in line shoulders, lands closed, an athletic finish.

FB: T86. 81-86 mph. (Max spin 2248;  Avg 2168). Arm side accuracy, slight running action, heavy movement. 

CB: 66-70 mph. Glove side control, tight late action, 12/6 shape. (Max spin 2333; Avg 2165). 

6-foot-1, 155-pound right-handed pitcher. The showing was solid, the projection is very good. The frame should fill nicely and he should be a top flight arm with the appropriate guidance. The fastball sat 73 -74 mph, arm side run. The spin pitch is big in shape, sitting 63-76 mph. The pitch has a chance down the road. The changeup is a developing pitch, sat 66-67 mph, needs to add fade and sink to the pitch. The delivery has crossfire to the feet and above 3/4 in slot. The lift and coil are appropriate, small amount of back arch at the top of the lift. The arm is clean in action and long out front. Big follow for me.
