PROCASE 2021

6-foot-1, 225-pound right-handed hitting first baseman. He ran a 7.78 sixty on the laser at the event. The feet and glove around the bag at first are excellent. He is a reliable defender. The range and agility can improve as he matures in age. He threw 83 mph across the diamond. The bat has an exit velocity of 99 mph. The setup is close with the feet and the front foot open to start. The front foot closes down and he produces an uphill path to the baseball. He should hit for power as he matures in age. I love his feel for hitting.

8/12/20

6-foot-1, 230-pound right-handed hitting first baseman. He threw 72 mph across the diamond during the infield portion of the defensive workout. The arm is short on the back half and he is accurate and simple with his throws. The feet can be a bit more active around first base as he shows a reliable glove. The bat has plus juice to it, exit velocity of 97 mph. The setup is even in base, front foot open to start. The path is flat and slightly uphill through contact. He cuts off the finish at times. He spreads the ball around the field and has a very good feel for hitting.

Future Games

6-foot-1, 230-pound right-handed hitting first baseman. He ran a 8.0 sixty at the event. The feel around the bag is very good and he is reliable. The feet work and he gets off the ball. He threw 73 mph across the diamond during the infield portion of the workout. The bat is highly advanced for me. He shows the ability to use the whole field and stay in his legs during his swings. He displayed an exit velocity of 97 mph. The setup is even and the front foot is slightly open to start. He closes down the front foot and get the hands loaded to start the swing. The hands are clean and simple to the ball. He occasionally cuts off the swing after contact. I really like the bat.

He threw 75 mph across the diamond during the infield portion of the workout. The bat has a chance to be special as he showed an exit velocity of 96 mph. The setup is even in base, front foot slightly open to start. The front foot closes down as the ball approaches the hitting zone. The shows a clean and simple path to the ball. The finish is cut off after contact. I love his feel for hitting, D1 hitter that should be able to change the game with his bat.

7/01/20

6-foot-1, 250-pound, large, strong, solid athletic frame. Showing strength throughout, hands and wrists have above average strength to them. A right-handed hitter, taller even stance, hands are loose set at the shoulders, more of a flat set up. the swing is very short and quick to contact, stays through it, rolling hands late, finishing with two hands. The approach is line drives, with lift when needed, middle to pull side, showing plenty of power, easily beating the outfielders. Took a solid batting practice, along with squaring multiple balls up in game play. The exit velocity is in the 90's, look for that to continue to climb. Defensively, moves around the back, is clean and quick. The glove is soft, easy flow on the catch, makes everything look easy. The arm was clocked in the 70's across the diamond, arm action is clean. Straight line speed will have to improve.  Big time hitter, good looking prospect.

Arm Velocity: 71 mph

3/08/20

Colpack is a projectable, athletic 6-foot-1, 250 pound prospect. The right-handed hitting infielder showed a quick bat and above average strength recording an exit velocity of 93 mph off the tee. The stance is narrow and slightly open to the pitcher. The hands are relaxed just off the back shoulder. He uses a leg kick to initiate the swing and transfer the weight over the back leg. The bat-head violently works through the hitting zone, creating loud contact. He extends well through contact and shows juice to all fields.

Defensively, the corner infielder was 75 mph across the diamond. The feet are athletic and he moves well laterally. He breaks down behind the ball in a balanced fielding position. The hands are soft as he transitions through to the throwing position. He works through the play, with a quick arm, finishing in line with the target.

Tee Exit Velocity- 93 mph
INF Velocity- 75 mph
3/24/19

I like the actions of this young infielder.  The feet are active and he’s able to get his body in a good position to field and throw.  He works nicely through the ball into a higher arm slot that showed 74 mph across the infield. At the plate, the tee exit velocity was 85 mph.  The stance begin tall, narrow and open.  The hands move back into the launch position and the stride is a controlled knee lift.  The swing is an aggressive plath to contact and extend through with some elevation.  There is a lot of torque created with this swing and shows the ability to drive the ball gap to gap.  This is a good looking player on both sides of the ball.  Definitely a guy to get out and see.
