(22.1 mph hand speed average). Began in a balanced wide stance with a handsy load, then used a small small leg kick. Bat speed was developing, displays  an inside-out uphill swing plane and good extension on his finish. He created loud contact and found multiple barrels. Line drive aggressive approach. Capable while in the infield, made throws up to 62 mph; had developing consistent footwork, developing soft hands, and a natural exchange. Fielded the ball out front with developing athletic movement laterally. Had a high ¾ slot with consistent accuracy to the bag. During the event, ran the 60-yard dash in 7.82.  (Max spin ; Avg ).

1/22/23

Levine is a strong, right-handed hitting infield prospect. He begins in a wide, balanced stance. The hands are relaxed just off the back shoulder. The load is minimal but gets him into a strong launch position. The bat takes a slightly uphill path through the hitting zone, producing a lot of solid contact during his round. Defensively, Levine showed good feet and soft hands in the infield. He gets into a good fielding position and works through the ball well. He finishes through the play, staying in line with the target. He also had a vertical of 61.2 cm. On the mound, Levine uses a simple, easy delivery. He gets balanced at the top, separates well and heads down the mound in line. The arm works out of a long, higher slot producing a fastball that sits (71-72 MPH) with some arm side run. Levine also mixed in a sweepy breaking ball and a changeup with late fading action.

Owen Levine: RHP/3B, (2024) BC, MA. 5-foot-10, 175-pound. In the box, the right-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 87 mph. (70.1 mph bat speed average). (23.7 mph hand speed average). Set up in the box with a wide start. Showed minimal bat wrap as the path to the baseball is uphill and loose. He cut off his swing after contact with the baseball. The glove and feet showed to be developing in the infield .The approach to the baseball can continue to improve, as the feet need to stay moving during the catching of the baseball.  He recorded a time of 7.5 in the 60-yard dash. On the mound, threw his fastball 69-70 mph and topped out at 70 mph. Slider (59-60 mph). The delivery is online with the feet and the process is repeated. The arm needs to continue to loosen and strengthen. The body spins through the stride phase and he showed the makings of a solid spin pitch. .
