2017 FUTURE GAMES 6-foot-2, 215-pound right-handed hitting first baseman. The feet work well around the bag, needs to slow down, at times he goes too quickly. Threw 79 mph across the diamond out of a clean arm slot . Big solid target at the bag as well. Ran a 7.7 sixty at the event, which will have to continue to improve as he matures. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 100 mph. Sets up with his feet semi-wide, toes turned in. Hands start high, small drop in them as the swing is initiated. The bat has serious buggy whip to it, strength throughout. The path could be flattened for better plate coverage but hard to argue with the potential of the bat. Swung the bat well in the game. Legit threat with the bat.
6.27.2017 6-foot-2, 205-pound right-handed hitting first baseman. Threw 79 mph from first across the diamond with accuracy. The feet work well around the bag. Does a nice job of handling the 3-6-1 double play turn, showing the ability to get back to the bag. Ran a 4.7 down the line on his dig to first. This guy has offensive tools, tee exit velocity of 96 mph. The bat speed is legit, as he whips the barrel around. The set up is even and there is small pick up and put down of the front foot as the ball approaches. Legit offensive prospect based off his skill set. Tee Exit Velocity- 96 mph INF Velocity-79 mph
2/20/2017 6-foot-2, 200-pound right-handed hitting first baseman with good feet around the bag. Threw 79 across the diamond with a strong clean arm. The footwork on feeds to second were rushed as he needs to slow down and be under control. The frame is big and a nice target at first. Handled himself well there. Ran a 7.75 in the sixty. At the plate, the bat is very physical, tee exit velocity of 92 mph. The set up is even with his feet and the hands relaxes to start. The path is simple to the ball and then flattens out through the zone. Does pick up and put down the front foot as the ball approaches. Was hammering the ball around during the workout, the bat is impressive.
2/15/16 Big and physical catcher for his age ( coming off a major leg injury during football). Threw 73 mph from behind the dish with an upright transfer and release. He can continue to develop back there and tweak his transfer. The arm has plenty to strength and quickness to it. The pop time was 2.0. Took ground balls at third base and showed soft hands and an easy throwing motion across the diamond, throwing 74 mph. At the plate, showed a tee exit velocity of 88 mph, in other words, he whips the barrel around. He hits out of an even base and a high elbow. The hands are very strong and handle the bat very well at this point. He has a small bounce in his swing with his bottom half but I like the potential, certainly because he hasn't done a great deal due to the injury. Big time follow.
