7/21/20

Carra is a solidly built 6-foot-3, 210 pound right-handed pitching prospect. He works out of simple, balanced delivery allowing him to create a consistent line with home plate. The arm works out of a quick, ¾ arm slot. The tempo of the delivery is solid and he moves athletically. The direction of the top half needs to stay online longer. The fastball sits 81-82 MPH with run on both sides of the plate. The breaking ball has good shape and sat 66-67 MPH. The spin pitch can improve with additional fastball hand speed on the pitch. The changeup is a pitch that is still developing.

3/08/20

Carra is a strong, 6-foot-2, 213 pound prospect. The right-handed hitting infielder had an exit velocity of 85 mph off the tee. The stance is wide and slightly open. The hands set just off the back shoulder. The swing is initiated with a leg kick to transfer the weight to the back leg. The bat whips through the zone on a flat plane and extends on the same plane well through contact.

Defensively, he was 80 mph on his throws across the diamond. The feet are light as he moves to get into a balanced fielding position. He breaks down behind the ball, with the glove out in front. He transitions nicely through the ground ball and the feet get him into a direct line with the target. The arm is quick as he finishes through the play in line with the target.

On the mound, he uses his physicality and simple movements to work down the mound. He shows a quick arm that works out of a lower ¾ slot, generating run on a fastball that ranges 76-80 mph. The breaking ball is a sweepy pitch that sat 59-63 mph. He also showed a change-up at 62-67 mph with good action.

Tee Exit Velocity- 85 mph
