Mid-Atlantic Summer Championships

Shockley has an athletic frame at 6-foot-2, with tons of projection left to it. Offensively he starts from an athletic stance, uses a small pick up to stride, and hands showed some rhythm in the load. Hands are short to the ball with a slight uphill path to the barrel. Has some strength in the swing with plenty of room to add more. Defensively Shockley is a solid receiver, displays some hand strength, and a quick clean exchange to throw with a strong arm. Throws between innings ranged from 77-78. mph and showed carry and some accuracy. On the mound the delivery had some pace with a bigger leg lift, strides down and out, and lands slightly closed. Arm action is clean and throws from a three-quarter arm slot. Fastball sat 77-80 and touched 81-83 a few times. Slider had nice depth with tight-late action sitting at 71-75 mph.

2/23/19

MD Preseason All State

Long athletic frame at 6-foot-2, 165-pounds. Hits from right side starting in an athletic square stance with a knee to knee leg lift load landing square at stride. Hands load back with slight bat wrap. Hands were quick and bat had some whip through the zone with a strong exit velocity of 93 mph. Path was flat with a slightly uphill finish and got solid use out of the lower half. Swing showed some gap-to-gap power potential. Feet were active and got in-line for throws behind the plate. Exchange was quick with short arm action throwing form a high three-quarter slot. Throws showed carry at 79 mph and pop times ranged 2.04 - 2.16. Home-to-first time was 4.44.
