Maryland Top Prospect Games West
Body: 6’0’’, 195 pounds. Strong, solid body type.
Hit: RHH. Hits from a balanced, slightly crouched and slightly open stance at the plate. Short back load and small stride. Creates good hand separation and lands on-time staying behind the ball well. Strong lower half involvement, quick hands and generates fast bat speed through the zone. Showed a more level swing path that gets slightly uphill at times. Gets extension through contact with a strong back-side two-handed finish. Swings with intent and worked gap-to-gap during BP with a strong middle of the field line drive approach.
Power: 91 mph exit velocity per TrackMan during BP. Strength present in the hands and swing. Power present to the gaps with more projected.
Arm: RH. INF - 76 mph. Throws with long arm action from a mid three-quarter slot.
Defense: Fields the ball out in front of the body funneling to the belt from a strong, athletic base. Bounces off the bag at first with fundamental footwork, works through the ball, and made strong accurate throws to second base on double play feeds.
Run: 7.86 60-yard time.
Preseason All-State Session II
Positional Profile: 1B/3B
Body: 5’11, 195 pounds. Strong, solid body type.
Hit: RHH. Hits from a balanced square stance at the plate. Small leg kick load with good hand separation. Creates rhythm with hands and stays short to the ball with a more level swing path. Quick hands and bat speed through the zone with strong lower half involvement. Stays behind the ball well and swing with intent. Gets good extension through contact and finishes swing hard with one hand. Very nice rounds of BP working gap-to-gap and squaring several balls up.
Power: 85 mph exit velocity from the tee. Power to the alleys present with more projected.
Arm: RH. INF - 72 mph. Throws with longer arm action from a mid three-quarter slot.
Defense: Works through the ball at first base and fields it out in front. Fundamental footwork and clean exchanges on double plays feeds to second base.
Run: 4.63 home-to-first time.
Solid frame standing 5-foot-11, 195-pounds. Square athletic stance at the plate, quick lift to stride, and lands on line. Hands load quick and direct back to an arm bar. Quick hands to the ball, slight uphill tilt, and head stays behind the ball at contact. Stayed gap to gap with line drive tendency during his rounds. Exit velocity was 80 mph. Feet worked around the bag, glove presents out front, and a slower exchange. Short arm path and throws from a three-quarter arm slot with a positional velocity of 70 mph. Ran a 7.66 60.
MD MoCo Fall Review
Strong, solid body type and 5’11’’, 205 pound frame. Hits from a balanced, square stance at the plate. Short, quick load with nice hand separation. Stays behind the ball well with strong lower half involvement. Swings with intent and showed quick bat speed through the zone with a compact uphill swing path. Gets excellent extension past contact and finishes strong uphill with two hands. Gap-to-gap type hitter with present power at the plate. Recorded a 79 mph exit velocity. Plays through the ball at first base fielding it out in front and funneling it quick to chest. Throws with long arm action from a lower three-quarter slot at 72 mph. Ran a 8.00 60-yard time.
