MD Preseason All State
Solid athletic frame at 6-foot-1, 155-pounds. Upright open stance from the right side with a low glide to stride landing square. Hands load back and barrel gets on plane early with an uphill finish and maintains balance throughout. Lacked explosion in the lower half and had average bat speed, but showed strength with the barrel. Low effort line drive swing with a 87 mph exit velocity. Feet were light and active on approach, clean catch and exchange to a longer arm action, and arm dropped slightly throwing from a lower three-quarter arm slot at 80 mph. Home-1st time was 4.20. Side rocker step to start the delivery, front leg rotates closed to balance, and engages back leg driving off of it down the mound. Shoulders are level and front foot lands closed. Stayed around the zone with the fastball, which sat at 74-76 mph. 2-seam showed some feel and arm side rune. Curveball lacked arm speed, but had 11/5 shape with a late break at 55-61 mph. Changeup sat at 70-72 mph and worked downhill.
