Went 2-for-3 with a double, 2 RBI's and a runs scored in the game against Sherwood. Strong, compact body type. Athletic and moves well. Hits from a slightly crouched, open stance at the plate with active hand and bat movement. Bit of a longer stride length. Gets good hand separation and swings with intent. Strong lower half with a level swing path.
Preseason All State - 2/18/18
Athletic frame at 6-foot, 190-pounds. A truly impressive offensive presence with high upside down the road. Hits from a taller set up at the plate with nice rhythm in his stance. Short and simple load with controlled leg lift and weight shift back to hitting position. Hands are direct to the ball with fast bat speed and barrel stays on through contact to drive the ball. Nice lower half involvement and balance throughout. Clean actions from the outfield on the day. works thru the ball well and gets rid of the ball with nice carry. Throws from a high three quarter slot and throws were up to 87 mph.
