Alfredo Velazquez: OF/LHP, (2023) Brother Rice, MI. 5-foot-8, 160-pound. Solid at the plate, the left-handed hitter clocked an exit velocity of 93 mph. Started in a balanced stance with a quick wrapping load, then used a leg kick. Had a short level swing plane, explosive bat speed and high finish. Found multiple barrels with loud contact. Gap to gap approach. From the outfield, he showed plus arm strength by making throws to the infield at velocities up to 93 mph. The athletic recruit showcased his speed with a sub-seven 60 time of 6.62.

Hit: (LHH) Started in a balanced stance with a quick wrapping load, then used a leg kick. Explosive bat speed. High finish, short level swing. Gap to gap approach. 

Power: 93 mph exit velocity, average 83.09 mph. 67.08 mph bat speed average. 22.02 mph hand speed average.

Arm: 93 mph outfield velocity. 

Speed: 6.62 (60-yard).

The only other 2023 prospect on Team Michigan however based on his game you would not be able to tell. Ran a 6.75 sixty on a laser timer. His speed carries over to his OF range covering a ton of ground. Baseball instincts were obviously getting great reads on several balls. Easy velocity in the OF throwing 85 mph. At the plate has advanced barrel control always squaring the ball up. Posted a 92 mph exit velocity. Crushed a RBI triple into the left center gap on a two strike pitch after a lengthy at bat. Added another RBI on a hard hit ball up the middle. Top of the order type hitter can fly on the bases. Scored from first base on a double late in the game.

Hitting: At the plate has a balanced stance keeping his hands in a strong loaded position. Creates a positive launch angle at the plate. Consistent approach with fast hands. Bat control at the plate with a feel for his barrel. 

Fielding: Clean fielding technique working through the ball while fielding off of his right leg showing arm strength. 85 mph OF velocity. 

Pitching: On the mound starts with a slant quickly moving to his balance point driving well off the mound. Fast arm while delivering from a high 3/4 arm angle. Fastball has late arm side run with a sinking feel. Sweeping action on the breaking ball with a big break. Change up shows deception and a fading action. 

Pitching: On the mound starts at a slant holding the glove letter high, throws with a fast arm showing minimal effort. On the mound has good natural movement pounding the zone. Fastball sat 77-80 mph topped 82 mph. Sharp breaking curve that has the makings of an outpitch 66-68 mph. Change up shows a tailing action 68-69 mph. 

Hitting: Shows fast hands a the plate creating lift with his launch angle. Has an understanding of the barrel. High level prospect with an advanced approach at the plate. Gets his lower half engaged well. High follow.
