6/23/15
6-foot-1, 167-pound athletic frame. Long swing, but has quick enough hands to get it through the zone with some bat speed. Registered a 78 mph bat exit velocity. Works with a middle to opposite field line drive approach. Sometimes too patient on the infield. Soft hands and quick transfer help translate to a 76 mph arm velocity across the infield. Ran a 4.62 home to 1st.

6/17/14
6-foot-1, 165 pound loose and lanky athletic prospect. Shows athletic fluid actions on the infield. Quick hands and quick feet make him a plus defender. Ran 4.43 home to 1st.  Has a good approach to all fields with quick hands to the baseball. Bat can get long at times, bat speed registered at 76 mph.
2/15/14
6-foot-1, 185 pounds with an athletic frame.  Registered a 6.87 60 yard dash time.  In the field, he features some softness in hands.  Quickness in feet allows for some plus range.  Throws through a high 3/4 slot with short arm action.  Topped out at 78 mph.  At the plate, the right hand hitter uses an open setup with short stride.  Uses a slightly uphill bat path, and generates solid opposite field production.  Inside out type of swing.  Reached a top exit velocity of 76 mph.

2/9/13
Blum is only a freshman at talented Hundsonville HS.  His feet worked well in the infield and he showed smooth soft hands.  His transfers were quick and clean. He lets the ball get a little too deep at times but that will change over time.  He was athletic and played through the ball well. His arm plays well right now compared to his peers at 76mph HIs bat is behind a touch. He seemed a bit tentative at the plate.  Over time he will be certainly one to follow. On the mound he sat 74-76 mph with his fastball. His breaking ball was his best pitch at 64-65 and showed a good downer 12-6 action.  He threw it for strikes.  His change he also through for strikes at 72mph.
