3/6/16
Stewart is a Michigan State commit with a projectable 6-foot-4, 195-pound frame. He stands slightly open and tall in the batter’s box. He has good rhythm with a leg kick and shows good bat speed with some strength. His exit velocity was 92 mph and he ran the 60-yard dash in 6.71. In the outfield, he shows a great first step while taking good angles to balls. He shows good body control and had a position velocity of 83 mph from the outfield.
6/23/15
6-foot-4, 185-pound athletic prospect. Tall stance to quick and explosive swing. Barrel stays through the zone nicely. Strong kid with occasional gap-to-gap power. Bat exit speed registered at 93 mph. Athletic actions with the glove in the outfield. Stayed through the baseball well on crop hop. Recorded and 81 mph arm velocity from the outfield. Good feet around the bag at first base. Soft hands helped funnel in the baseball on balls right at him.
6/17/14
6-foot-3, 180 pound physically strong athletic prospect. Shows good flexibility behind the plate with quick hands on his transfers allowing for a pop time of 2.13-2.31. Blocks and receives the baseball well. Shows good range and athletic ability at first base. Soft hands and ability to pick bad throws. Ran a 4.57 home to 1st. Early stride with a pull approach, strong bat with pop. Bat speed registered at 86 mph.
2/15/14
6-foot-2, 170 pounds with a long, athletic frame. Clocked in a 7.43 60 yard dash time. Behind the plate he throws through a 3/4 slot with short arm action. Recorded pop times between 2.10 and 2.20. Topped out at 71 mph. Balance tended to fall towards third base. At the plate, the right handed hitter uses a balanced setup with long stride (gains ground). Showed the ability to use the whole field, while offering linedrive production. Reached a top exit velocity of 82 mph off the tee. Will be interesting to see how his frame fills out.
7/23/13
Long lanky build with plenty of room to grow. Long transfer behind the plate. 2.32-2.34 pop times. Needs to work on staying lower through the “shoot” on throws. Carry momentum towards second base. At the plate takes longer stride but keeps hands back. Some looseness in swing. Has gap pop at young age. Intrigued to see how he develops.
