6/24/2014 6-foot-3, 210 big strong prospect. Clean mechanics from the right side on the mound, long arm action with good use of lower half. Fastball sits 83-85 mph, curveball lacks depth at 61-62 mph. Good range and excellent hands at third base. Threw 84 mph across the infield. Ran a 4.56 home to 1st. Power in the bat with quick hands to the baseball, pull approach as he strides out. Extreme bat speed registered at 96 mph.
2/22/14
6-foot-3, 210 pounds with a big strong frame. Best tool is his right handed stick. Athletic/balanced setup with short stride. Creates elite bat speed (96 mph exit velocity), and ball consistently jumps off his bat. Uphill bat path. Will likely be a middle of the order type bat at the next level with his gap to gap power potential. At third base, Vyskocil throws through a high 3/4 slot with short arm action. Throws across the diamond showed some life while topping out at 79 mph. Features softness in his hands, and clean footwork as well in the infield. Also ran a 7.47 60 yard dash time.
3/2/13
Vyskocil once again showed improvement and raised his stock. Moved his feet well. Gathered himself and made strong accurate throws (78mph). Projects well at 3B with big frame. At the plate shows advanced skill set. Ball jumps off of his bat. Gap-to-gap power with more to come.
2/9/13
Vyskocil has a big frame (6-foot-3, 185-pounds) and can really hit. His swing path is uphill but he get to extension really well. He had good whip in the bat and got it through the zone effortlessly. His balance was good and he stays short and simple with his stride and approach. In the field his throws were a bit erratic but did show good carry across the diamond (76mph). Vyskocil should provide good pop in the lineup at St. Mary's this spring.
9/23/19: A redshirt senior at 6-foot-3, 225 pounds and a physical/strong build, Vyskocil broke out in the 2019 season en route to Horizon League First-Team honors, leading the team in slugging with 23 extra-base hits, including a team-high eight home runs. He slashed .330/.403/.527 last spring and you can expect more of the same in 2020, based on what we saw on Friday. He barreled three baseballs during live action, including when he smashed a hanging curveball over the left field fence.
