Hitting: Sets up with a small crouch with his bat resting on his back shoulder. Small front leg pick up and longer swing path. Showed the ability to drive the ball up the middle and pull side.
Fielding: Behind the plate shows a relaxed wrist while receiving the ball, moves quickly out the squat throwing down to 2B. Show good arm strength and accuracy. Pop time ranged from 2.03-2.05 while throwing 75 mph.
Mechanics: On the mound repeats his delivery each time showing a high balance point throwing with ease from a 3/4 arm angle.
Fastball: Ball was easy out his hand with a straighter feel commanding the strike zone sitting 80-82 mph.
Curve: 65-67 mph curve breaking on an 11/5 plane. Tight spin.
Change up: Deceptive change up thrown with similar arm speed as his fastball 70-71 mph.
5-foot-11, 160 pound athletic frame prospect. On the mound steps left, using a double tap and waist high leg lift. Worked the lower half of the zone. Fastball sat 75-77 mph with a feel for the strike zone. 65-67 mph curve with an 11/5 break and a 61 mph change up with late sink. At the plate sets up with a balanced stance holding his hands high. Steps with his front leg into the pitch throwing his hands well. Hit the ball up the middle mostly showing the ability to spray. Receives with one hands, standing tall and throwing down to 2B. Strong blocking skills behind the dish.
