Ryan Koob: C/RHP, (2023) Plainwell, MI. 6-foot-3, 195-pound. In the box, Koob had a max exit velocity of 81 mph. (64.4 mph bat speed average). (19.9 mph hand speed average). Began in a balanced stance with a compact load, then used a toe tap stride. Simple level swing plane. Line drive approach. While catching, his best position velocity throwing to second was registered at 78 mph. Behind the plate, his best throw downs of the day reached a max velocity of 78 mph; recorded pop times of 2.06-2.12. During the event, ran the 60-yard dash in 7.75. Solid smooth on the mound, showed good arm speed, he had a ¾ arm angle with a short consistent arm action. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and shows some effort. Has a strong consistent balance point with even shoulders. Lands open with balanced an athletic finish. Changeup (70-72 mph).
