5-foot-10, 160-pound athletic build. From the outfield he does a good job attacking the baseball. Uses a good crow hop and opens up on his throw. Throws from a high-¾ slot with 82 mph arm strength. Left-handed hitter that starts open and gets to even. Starts with his hands high with a short, compact swing and good rotation. Registered top exit velocity of 80 mph and ran a 6.95-60.

6/17/2014 5-foot-9, 150 pound athletic prospect. Showed good skills with his glove and feet in the outfield. Has an accurate arm at 81 mph.  Ran a 4.46 home to 1^st. Quick hands and strong bat from the left side of the plate. Swing gets long on balls on outer half. Bat speed registered at 80 mph. 

2/23/14
5-foot-8, 149-pound two-way prospect with athletic frame. Ran a 7.18 60. Showed good feel from the outfield position. Accurate throws with a top velocity of 80 mph. Some softness in his hands and fluid footwork. Plays through the ball. At the plate, he starts in an athletic stance. Uses a leg kick to initiate his lower half. Slight uphill path. Power will come as he develops physically.

This was Jefferson’s second showcase and he certainly improved.  Jefferson showed better footwork in the outfield and played through the ball well.  He was fluid and aggressive defensively.   His arm strength will continue to improve over time as his arm works well.  Hands were soft. At the plate showed a little bit of an arm bar at load but got the barrel through the zone well.  Balanced.  Shows a line drive approach at the plate.  Overall, Jefferson shows natural ability that will only improve.

Only a freshman, Jefferson shows promise.  At the plate he shows good potential.  He starts from a open yet balance stance.  He whipped the barrel through the zone with fast hands.  Overall he had a fluid stroke that was short and took a level path.  Jefferson's play in the outfield needs to improve but e did show good actions as he played through the ball well.
