6-foot-4, 223 pound pound prospect sets up with a wide stance, holding his bat on his shoulder with his weight shifted towards his back leg. Using a toe tap load drops hands and swings up hill with power finishing high. In the field moves light on his feet catching the ball out front bringing it into his body, taking a couple steps and throwing across the infield. On the mound throws over the top with a heavy fastball 82-85 mph. Downward spinning 67-70 mph curve and a straight 71-75 mph change up.

Kregel has a strong 6-foot-3, 208-pound frame. He has a wide stance and uses good rhythm in his load and stride. He is upright and sweeps his barrel in the hitting zone for a long time. His exit velocity was 86 mph and he ran a 7.65 60-yard dash. On the mound, he throws from an over-the-top arm slot then drops and drives with his lower half. His fastball sat at 78-80 mph and he threw his changeup with the same arm speed and sat 69-70 mph with some late depth. His curveball had 12/6 tight break at 66-69 mph.
