3B/RHP Mason Eckes (Andover, MN, 2023) made the trip from Minnesota on Saturday and was one of the few uncommitted seniors at the event. Listed at a physical 6-foot-1, 205 pounds, Eckes started his day off by tallying a 7.08 in the 60-yard dash which was good for top-20 in this talented event. He then moved over to the mound where out of an uptempo, tall and fall delivery, created fastball’s in the low-80s consistently. He was also able to throw in two offspeed offerings all around the zone. The first being a mid-70s slider with some late downer action, and the second a changeup with downer action that flashed occasional fade.
Body: 6-1, 205-pounds. Thicker with strength throughout.
Delivery: Up tempo delivery, high, closed leg lift into tall and fall.
Arm Action: RH. Long arm arc behind body, lower 3/4 slot.
FB: T84, 83-84 mph. Some run through the zone. T2053, 1993 average rpm.
SL: 75-76 mph. Downer action, feel for the zone. T2189, 2162 average rpm.
CH: 77-78 mph. Feel for the pitch, downer action with occasional fade. T1473, 1437 average rpm.

Hits: RHH. Wide base set up with higher hands. Leg-lift gather into back side, lands in center, short direct path attacks balls from top down and can back spin balls to both gaps.
