Positional Profile: OF
Body: 5-11, 175-pounds. Athletic build with room for added strength and size in the future.
Hit: RHH. Starts with a neutral stance and narrow base with an upright posture and hands getting set just below shoulder height. Slow loads the weight into the lower half.  Short and simple stride maintaining the narrow base.  Lower half works short and linear through the zone into a firm front leg.  Uphill bat path with hands working rotationally through the zone with a strong top hand finish.  Pull side approach and attacks the ball out in front of the plate.  Shows good overall bat speed and strong rotational acceleration.
Power: 91.7 max exit velocity, averaged 82.7 mph. 310’ max distance.
Arm: RH.   OF - 86 mph. Over the top arm slot with a clean arm action.
Defense: Attacks the ball with smooth rhythm and controlled footwork.  Fields the ball out in front of the glove side leg with a feel for glove action.  Prefers to sit on the ball more and use the glove action on the short hop.  Shuffle crow hop technique.
Run: 7.38 runner in the 60. 

Delivery: Quick rocker style footwork around the rubber working to an easy pivot foot.  Works to a high balance point with good weight stack and upright posture in the upper body.  Slight sink into the lower half with a strong push off the rubber.  Works from the middle of the rubber and strides directionally down the center of the mound with good momentum and direction headed towards the plate.  Clean hand break from the glove at the top of the delivery.  Maintains smooth tempo and balance well pitch to pitch.
Arm Action: RH. High 3/4 arm slot with a short and clean arm action.
FB: T83.1, 81.9-83.1 mph. Strong riding life through the zone with mostly straight shape. T2027, 1904 average rpm.
CB: 68.9-71.0 mph. 11/5 slurvy shape with big action and developing spin. T1835, 1764 average rpm.
CH: 76.7-78.5 mph. Good downward depth with mostly straight shape. T1796, 1721 average rpm.

Avery Oravetz: SS/RHP, (2023) Lafayette, MO. 5-foot-10, 146-pound slim frame. During batting practice, Oravetz clocked an exit velocity of 83 mph. Begins in a crouched stance with a small load, then uses a small leg kick to initiate his swing. Has some bat speed, flat swing plane and high finish. He barreled up some balls. Line drive approach. While in the infield, registered his best throw across the diamond at 79 mph; has a fluid exchange, sure hands and choppy feet. Had a short arm action with a high ¾ slot. Recorded a 60 time of 7.66 at the event. On the mound, he showed some arm speed, also used a short arm action with a high ¾ arm angle. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and shows some effort. Tall balance point with even shoulders. Lands square with an athletic finish. Changeup (66-66 mph).Produced a fastball that came in at 75-77 mph with a max of 78 mph; shows running action. His slider (62-62) showed some action.

Oravetz is a 5-foot-8 146-pound right-handed hitting shortstop and right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2023 class.  He ran a 4.53 home to first and had a 75 mph exit velocity. At the plate, simple and repeatable, balances set up, smooth load, starts with bat on shoulder, loads with stride, controlled leg lift, level bat path, gap to gap approach.  On the infield, quick to the ball with footwork, soft hands, quick transfer and throw, arm works, high three quarters arm slot, smooth actions, 78 mph positional velocity. On the mound, smooth acceleration to release, quick and loose arm action, lands in line, compact, slight tuck at top of balance point, fastball 72-75 mph, breaking ball has 11-to-5 shape, down in zone, 62-65 mph, change up at 65-68 mph, slight sink, near fastball arm speed.
