8/8/17 - Hinton is a 6-foot-2 195-pound right-handed hitting catcher in Missouri’s 2018 class.  He ran a 7.35 60 nd a 4.64 home to first.  He has a 91 mph exit velo. At the plate, balanced stance, smooth rhythm with reverse toe touch, some hand load, looseness in hands with feel for the barrel and range in his swing, gap to gap approach, consistent  hard contact.  Behind the plate, pop times between 2.02 and 2.14-seconds, 74 mph positional veto, fluid actions, feet on time with exchange, over the top release, arm works, mostly accurate throws, athletic movements to block.  Showed off power driving a ball to center field in game action. 
1/18/16 - Hinton is a 6-foot-2 185-pound switch-hitting catcher and third baseman in Missouri’s 2018 class. Hinton had an 82 mph exit velo from the left side and an 83 mph exit velo from the right side. Ran a 4.71 home-to-first.  He has similar swing mechanics from both sides.  Starts in a athletic set-up, toe tap to load, short stride, level path, loose hands, more gap-to-gap from right side, more middle to pull from left side.  During catcher evaluations, posted pop times between 2.03 and 2.15, among the best for the event, clean exchange with fluid actions, over the top release, loose arm action, 70 mph throws from the crouch, accurate with all throws to the bag. On the infield, 77 mph positional velo, quick catch and throw, fluid footwork, loose high three-quarters arm slot, accurate throws, athletic actions. On the mound, Hinton has clean arm action, arm works, smooth tempo in delivery, high three quarters release, body stays under control during delivery, throws slightly across body, athletic finish.  Fastball was 78-81, one of the top fastball velos of the event, downhill plane, curveball at 67-68 mph, 11-to-5 movement, worked the bottom of the zone with change up at 72-75, fastball arm speed. Hinton throws with regular effort and repeats delivery and release.
