6/19/18 - Maloney is a 6-foot, 190-pound left-handed pitcher and outfielder in Missouri’s 2019 class. He ran 4.69 home-to-first and posted an exit velocity of 89 mph. During batting practice, Maloney starts in a balanced open stance, leg lift to load, contact to the middle and opposite field. Defensively, Maloney has fluid footwork to the baseball, clean transfers, over the top arm slot, positional velo of 83 mph with mostly accurate throws. On the mound, Maloney starts with a high hand position, across his body stride, accelerates down the mound, fastball proved to be a plus pitch for him at 84-86 mph for strikes, curveball showed some hard bite, 1-to-7 shape, 69-72 mph, changeup was 69-72 mph with near fastball arm speed.
