Mabe is a strong 6-foot-3 220-pound right-handed hitting first baseman in Missouri’s 2020 class.  He ran a 4.94 home to first and had an 88 mph exit velocity.  At the plate, balanced stance, loads with weight shift to back side, short to contact, quick bat speed, gap to gap approach with power potential to pull side.  On the infield, quick footwork, soft hands with cleans transfers on time with footwork.

8/12/18 - Mabe is a well built 6-foot2 205-pound right-handed hitting third baseman in Missouri’s 2020 class.  He has ran a 7.76 60 and a 4.85 home to fist.  He has an 87 mph exit velocity. At the plate, starts slightly open and tall, sits in back leg to load, aggressive acceleration through the zone with hands, loose and quick hands, level path, stays on ball after contact, gap to gap line drives, power to pull gap.  On the infield, 75 mph positional velocity, high three quarters arm slot, athletic footwork, smooth actions to the ball, clean exchange, feet create momentum through the catch, mostly accurate throws.

6/12/18 - Mabe is a strong 6-foot-2 205-pound right-handed hitting catcher in Missouri’s 2020 class.  He ran a 7.63 60 and a 4.77 home to first.  He has a 93 mph exit velocity. At the plate, balanced stance, smooth load to back side with no wasted movement in hands, stride is slightly closed, quick bat speed, swing produced consistent line drives gap to gap, has pull side power, feel for the barrel.  Behind the plate, pop times between 2.06 and 2.20-seconds, 70 mph positional velocity, thin set up in base, short jab step to create momentum on time with exchange, short the top arm slot, accurate thrower.
