C/RHP Chase Hartman (St. Louis University HS, 2026) was one of the few freshmen in attendance, and he showed well in multiple aspects of his workout. Hartman, who stands at 5-foot-10, 150-pounds, started his day off by taking a clean round of BP, working line drives off his barrel to the pull-side. Hartman repeated a flat, simple right-handed swing throughout BP, and he’ll continue to impact the baseball with more authority as he gets older. He topped at 75 mph from behind the plate, a three tick increase since we saw him last October, and popped a 2.03 on his best bullet. Hartman hopped on the mound afterwards and ran his fastball up to 79 mph, spinning his breaking ball for strikes at 66-67 mph as well.
Body: 5-10, 150-pounds. Athletic build.
Delivery: Simple and athletic tall/fall type delivery, controlled tempo with little effort, strong front side, works across body some and finishes onto a closed toe.
Arm Action: RH. Short tight arm stroke, 3/4 slot.
FB: T79, 77-79 mph. Gradual arm-side run created from slot. T2109, 2068 average rpm.
CB: 66-67 mph. Sharp raw spin off an 11/5 plane, developing feel for the zone. T2272, 2200 average rpm.
CH: 72-72 mph. Near fastball arm speed and slot, sinks it. T1351, 1272 average rpm.

Hits: RHH. Quiet in the box with poise, balanced base, bat loads over back shoulder, strides with some length and finishes onto a firm lead leg.
Power: 89 max exit velocity, averaged 74.4 MPH. 310' max distance.
Arm: RH. C-75 mph. Slight arm wrap, 3/4 slot.
Defense: 2.03-2.14 pop times. Drifts away from the crouch, recoil finish.
