6/13/17 - Hoeber is a 6-foot-3 165-pound right-handed hitting catcher and right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2019 class.  He ran a 7.69 laser timed 60 and a 4.39 home to first.  He posted an 82 mph exit velo. At the plate, starts tall and slightly open, rhythm in hands, leg kick, swing created line drives gap-to-gap.  Behind the plate, flexible, gives low target, pop times between 1.97 and 2.13-seconds, athletic footwork, over the top release, momentum to throw, accurate, 74 mph positional velo. On the mound, Hoeber has a projectable frame with loose arm action, more in the tank with velo as he continues to develop, showed pitch ability with three pitches, smooth rhythm and tempo, repeats release point, fastball at 81-84 mph, works both sides of the plate, late running action, breaking ball has 11-to-5 shape, 69-71 mph, had depth, change up has arm side release 78-79 mph.
1/31/16 - Hoeber, 6-foot-1, 165 pounds, is a member of the 2019 class of Liberty HS in Wentzville. Hoeber has a slender, projectable frame with room to grow. His delivery is simple, yet consistent, and shows the ability to repeat. Hoeber’s fluid, over the top arm action displayed a fastball range of 73-77 mph, with occasional late run. His throws a straight change ranging from 68-71 that does allow for sink and occasional run. Curveball has 12-to-6 action ranging from 63-67 mph, with some bite. Hoeber showed the ability to command all three pitches as well as to both sides of the plate. He ran a 7.94 60 and has an exit velo of 78 mph.  At the plate, open stance, short in-line stride, works middle to pull side of field, loose hands.  Behind the plate, over the top arm slot, 2.19 to 2.35 pop times, 73 mph positional velo, arm works, quick feet with clean transfer, mostly accurate throws.
