Lanky 6-foot-1, 185-pound athlete that’s been a winner thus far on the summer circuit. Impressed at the St. Louis Top Prospect Games in June and parlayed that into a successful showing on the mound at the KCPI. Ran his fastball up to 88 mph early from a deceptive ¾ slot, settled into the mid-80s as his outing went on. Showed one of the weekend’s better breaking balls; a low-70s curveball with depth off a 1/7 plane that mostly worked front door to right-handed hitters.
One of the more impressive arms at this event was LHP Christopher Pelligreen (Chaminade College Prep, 2023). At 6-foot-1, 185-pounds, Pelligreen showed plenty of upside with a lanky frame and loose, whippy arm action. Pelligreen’s hardest bullet topped at 87.8 mph, averaging 84.8 to 87.2 mph throughout his two innings. He swept a slider in the low-70s at a 2,200+ RPM averaging, peaking at 15 inches of horizontal movement. Pelligreen also turned over a few high-70s changeup with fade. Pelligreen is an intriguing follow on the mound throughout this year’s summer circuit that’s still uncommitted.

Body: 6-1, 185-pounds. Lean, lanky frame. High-waisted and projects.
Delivery: Stretch only, high leg lift, fluid mover downhill with a drop/drive lower half pattern. Open front side on occasion, in line at footstrike and repeats.
Arm Action: LH. Short tight arm window, 3/4 slot.
FB: T87.8, 85-87 mph. T2366, 2265 average rpm.
CB: 74-74 mph. T2193, 2193 average rpm.
SL: 71-73 mph. T2281, 2223 average rpm.
