Coleman Morrison: RHP/1B, (2023) Springfield Catholic, MO. 6-foot-5, 220-pound physical frame. In the box, Morrison had an exit velocity of 86 mph. Began in an athletic stance with a wrapping load, then used a quick stride to initiate his swing. Had upward swing plane, explosive bat speed and high finish. Found multiple barrels with some loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Solid in the infield, recorded a position velocity of 79 mph; had a fluid exchange, sure hands and consistent footwork. Consistent accuracy to the bag, used a short arm action and a high ¾ slot. In the 60-yard dash, his time was 7.23. Smooth on the mound, showed an over-the-top arm angle and a short arm action with quick arm speed. Feel type pitcher who shows some effort. Has athletic balance point and even shoulders. Lands square with an athletic finish. Threw his fastball 84-86 mph and topped out at 87 mph; has a in the zone control that shows heavy movement. His splitter (76-76) has plus action and commanded the zone.
