8/9/15 - Merchand is a 5-foot-11 165 –pound right-handed hitting outfielder.  Marchand ran a 7.28 60 and had an exit velo of 83 mph. At the plate, linear load in back leg, no hand movement, line drives to the middle of the field during batting practice.  In the outfield, 81 mph positional velo, over-the-top release, fluid footwork, clean transfer, plays through the ball, mostly accurate throws.

2/21/14 – Marchand is a 5-foot-9, 165-pound outfielder and runs a 4.56 home-to-first.  He has a gap-to-gap approach that produces consistent line drives.  He has a small hand load and good rhythm during the swing.  He had a 79 MPH exit velo.  Defensively, Marchand has an over-top release with a clean hand-to-glove exchange.  He had a positional velo of 73 MPH with throws close to the bag.

2/21/14 – Marchand is a 5-foot-9, 165-pound right handed pitcher. Marchand showed good command of his fastball, clocked at 75-78 MPH.  He has a curveball with 12/6 shape thrown at near fastball arm speed.  His curveball was thrown between 60-63 MPH.  Marchand’s change-up showed a some sink and was thrown at 68-70 MPH.  He has an over-the-top release point and throws with regular effort.  He lands somewhat closed and has an athletic finish to his delivery.
