OF/RHP Gavin Thomason (Fair Grove, 2027) has continued to trend upward since our first look at the U&C Scout Day last fall. At 6-foot, 198 pounds, he has plenty of strength in physical frame with room to add even more. Defensively, Thomason has seen a significant jump in arm strength, now reaching 87 mph from the outfield while showcasing fluid actions and a clean, purposeful approach through the ball. Offensively, he keeps things simple at the plate, driving the ball with intent to the pull side. He averaged 88.4 mph off the bat (T94.4), flashing emerging power and a feel for elevation. A name to watch in the coming years.

Body: 6-0, 198-pounds. Athletic frame with some physicality.
Hit: RHH. Upright slightly open setup with a wide base, weight centered, and active hands. Uses a short leg lift trigger working back to even. Long flat path through the zone, some barrels, present power. 67.4 mph bat speed with 5 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 94 max exit velocity, averaged 88.4 mph. 329' max distance.
Arm: RH. OF-87 mph.
Defense: Confident athletic actions defensively.
ATH: 7.17 runner in the 60. 1.85 and 4.07 in the 10 and 30 yard splits. 23.20 max vertical.
