7/5/17 - Allen is a 5-foot-10 150-pound right-handed hitting shortstop and right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2021 class.  He ran a 8.27 60 and has a 70 mph exit velo. At the plate, starts with wide base, slightly open, short stride, hands manage the bat, level path, swing produced gap-to-gap contact during hitting evaluations.  On the infield, 62 mph positional velo, over the top release, fields ball out front in athletic position, fluid footwork with clean exchange. On the mound, Allen comes from a an over the top release, smooth and controlled delivery, in line stride, hand raise and lower with leg lift and stride, fastball worked 62-64 mph, slight sink, breaking ball at 55-57 mp, gradual 12-to-6 action, change up at 58-60 mph, throws with fast ball arm speed, slight sink.
