Positional Profile: 3B/SS
Body: 6-0, 225-pounds. Strong build.
Hit: LHH. Tall setup with a balanced base. Rhythmic movement in hands, shifts weight to back side before using a short leg lift trigger. Some barrels, compact flat path through the zone. Power present with high exit velocity. 69.2 mph bat speed with 7 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 95 max exit velocity, averaged 74.4 mph. 241' max distance.
Arm: RH. INF-78 mph. Short stroke from a low 3/4 slot. Shows feel for a sidearm slot.
Defense: Confident actions defensively.
ATH: 7.80 runner in the 60.

2024 Prep Baseball Future Games alum INF Jaymeson Forest (Duchesne, 2026) put together another strong showing in this look. A physical, 6-foot, 225-pound left-handed bat with middle of the order power potential, Forest consistently elevated balls to the pullside with a max exit velocity of 94.8 mph and plenty more in the tank. His athleticism was evident on the infield where he showed range and reliable hands with a 78 mph arm to pair.

Another sophomore follow from this event is CIF Jaymeson Forest (Duchesne, 2026), who stands in at a highly physical 6-foot-2, 210-pounds. Forest, who also showed well at the Missouri Preseason All-State earlier in the month, doesn’t lack any strength inside his left-handed barrel. He was on the barrel often with authority throughout his round, averaging 92 mph per batted ball with a max mark of 102.5 mph. On top of just hitting the ball hard, Forest drove it with authority too, working gap-to-gap with an average batted distance (282 ft.) that’s well advanced for his age, parking his furthest ball 353 feet. Forest owns some of the loudest left-handed power in the state and will look to translate that to the field for his Duchesne squad this spring.

CB: 66-68 mph. 12/6 break with occasional depth. T2164, 2083 average rpm.
SL: 68-69 mph. Tight 10/4 sweep action. T2378, 2326 average rpm.

Matches pitch plane with easy hands and power. Ball jumps off the barrel with present bat-to-ball. 69.7 mph bat speed with 10 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 96 max exit velocity, averaged 87.5 mph. 371' max distance. Above-average power.
Arm: RH. INF-77 mph. Short high-3/4 arm action.
Defense: Quick, active feet. Soft hands, clean gather. Can make plays on the run and from multiple arm angles.
