3.18.17 - Left-handed hitting first baseman with a big body, solid lower half. Offensively, fluid rhythm throughout. Loose hands, creates easy bat speed and has feel for the barrel.

2/15/16 - Mitchell is a strong 6-foot-2 200-pound left-handed hitting outfielder and pitcher in Missouri’s 2017 class.  He ran a 4.42 home-to-first and has an exit velo of 87 mph, one of the top LHH exit velos for the event. At the plate, starts with slightly open stance, short in-line stride, strong hands with level bat path, middle to pull power.  In the outfield, 81 mph positional velo, over the top release with momentum through the catch, quick feet and quick release, throws have carry. On the mound, over the top arm slot, smooth rhythm with acceleration in delivery strike thrower, 74-76 mph fastball, both sides of plate, 64-65 mph curveball 12-to-6 shape, some with late action, 68-70 mph change up, late downward action.

2/16/15 - Mason Mitchell is a 6-foot-2 192-pound left-handed hitting first baseman/LHP, at the plate, 84 mph exit velo, simple/repeatable swing mechanics, starts slightly open, no wasted movement, smooth rhythm, balanced finish, has pull power, at first base, soft hands, over-the-top release, fluid footwork, accurate throws at 72 mph. On the mound, throws fastball at 73-75 mph from over-the-top arm slot.  Delivery has some effort with smooth rhythm, has quick arm speed, stays in-line towards plate, 12-to-6 curveball, 60-62 mph, aggressive change-up with arm side sink, near fastball arm speed, 69-71 mph.  Athletic build with good arm action.

6/4/14 - Mitchell is a 5-foot-11, 170-pound LHP with a 3/4 delivery. He showed good arm action with smooth rythm and regular effort. He stays in line with all pitches. His fastball ranged from 66-71 MPH. Mitchell's curveball ranged from 59-61 MPH and has 11/5 movement. He throws a changeup at near fastball arm speed and stayed at 69 MPH.

6/4/14 - Mitchell is a 5-foot-11, 170-pound 1B with a good approach to hitting. He has an open setup with excellent balance. Mason has fluid rhythm through his swing with fast bat speed. He has an exit velo of 74 MPH. He has average feet and good hands at first base.
