Rice

9/23/18 - Rice is a 5-foot-10 155-pound right handed hitting outfielder and right handed pitcher in the 2019 Missouri class.  Rice ran a 7.27 60 and a 4.39 home to first.  At the plate, he starts slightly open and has a small leg kick and minimal load with his hands.  He pulls off on his front side a bit and has a flat bat path through the zone hitting balls at 82 mph with a pull side approach.  On the mound, Rice is a strike thrower with a quick tempo delivery, falls off to his glove side.  He has a fastball at 70-71 mph, a 1-7 curveball at 64-69 mph and has good feel on his changeup with sink at 65-68 mph.

 
8/12/18 - Rice is a 5-foot-10 155-pound right-handed hitting outfielder in Missouri’s 2019 class.  He ran a 7.27 60 and a 4.39 home to first.  He has an 82 mph exit velocity. At the plate, simple and repeatable, square stance with weight shift to load to back side, level bat path, line drives to both gaps during hitting evals.  In the outfield, 78 mph positional velocity, high three quarters arm slot, controlled actions, clean exchange on time with fluid footwork, mostly accurate throws.
