8/12/18 - 6-foot-1, 165-pound right-handed pitcher. Tall and fall delivery with low effort, lands square, finishes to first base side. Arm action is short, high ¾ slot, clean circle. Fastball sat 75-77 mph. Curveball has gradual 12/6 action, 59-63 mph. Showed feel for a straight changeup, near fastball arm speed, 65-68 mph.
6/19/18 - Trout has slender frame with room to grow at 6-foot-1, 165 pounds. He uses a high leg kick and hides the ball well behind his body with shorter arm action for deception, high ¾ arm slot, gains momentum through his delivery as he works down the mound with good direction towards home plate. Trout throws his fastball for strikes between 73-75 mph. Changeup showed some sink and run to armside between 65-68 mph and curveball was 54-56 mph.
2/18/17 - Trout is a 5-foot-9 135-pound right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2020 class. Trout has an over the top release, throws with regular effort, strike thrower with three pitches, repeats a simple delivery, body stays balanced and under control, fastball at 67-69 mph, occasional sink, showed 12-to-6 breaking ball, early break, change up at 62-63 mph, near fastball arm speed, arm side sink.
