6/14/16 - Long is a 5-foot-11 180-pound right-handed hitting catcher and pitcher in Missouri’s 2019 class.  He ran a 7.78 60 and a 4.90 home-to-first.  He has an 85 mph exit velo. At the plate, starts slightly open, leg kick, aggressive swing with quick bat, pull side power, gap-to-gap approach, strength in hands, had a pair of singles in game action.  Behind the plate, 2.18-2.34-seconds, 74 mph positional velo, one of the top velos for the event, over the top release, loose arm action, quick feet, creates momentum towards second. On the mound, He has a over the top release, coils and tucks at balance point, creates deception, quick tempo in delivery, lands square to the plate, fastball at 77-80, 12-to-6 action on curveball, 65-68 mph, change up at 66 mph, some arm side run.

1/31/16 - Long is a catcher, right handed pitcher, and 2019 grad of MICDS. On the mound, Long’s fastball range was 74-78 mph with occasional cut. His changeup was clocked between 62-67 mph displaying some prominent sink while his curveball has 12-to-6 break and good downward action. Long’s delivery includes high ¾ arm slot, a high leg kick at balance, and has good direction towards home plate. He ran a 7.89 60 and has an exit velo of 84 mph. At the plate, starts in athletic position, leg kick, aggressive swing, gap-to-gap approach, quick bat speed.  Behind the plate, over the top arm slot, quick transfer with momentum towards second base to throw, mostly accurate throws, pop times between 2.26 to 2.23, 72 mph positional velo.
