An uncommitted senior from this event that stood out at this event was RHP Parker Lambeth (Kickapoo, 2023). Standing at a lean 6-foot, 160-pounds with plenty of room to fill out, Lambeth showed five pitches in his ‘pen, starting with a low-80s fastball that peaked at 82.5 mph. The two secondaries that stood out were his curveball and splitter, both of which flashed above-average. He spun a tighter breaking ball with subtle depth and downer spin at 71-74 mph. Lambeth limited spin on his 76-77 mph splitter (1200 RPM avg) and worked it beneath the zone, flashing late fade on occasion. He also featured a 74-77 mph slider with slightly more horizontal spin than his curveball and his changeup generated more arm-side run than his splitter while playing at 78-79 mph. With his physical upside and feel for the mound, Lambeth remains one of the state’s top uncommitted senior arms heading into the spring season.
Positional Profile: RHP/OF
Body: 6-0, 151-pounds. Lean, projectable frame.
Delivery: Tall/fall type delivery, works with pace to balance point, front hip turn creates momentum downhill, stays closed to front footstrike. Strides in line to target, athletic finish and lands square. Highly projectable operation, fluid mover and repeats.
Arm Action: RH. Long arm action with some wrist wrap on the backside, loose 3/4 finish.
FB: T82, 80-82 mph. Clean out the hand, plays straight, strikes. More velocity to come. T1987, 1960 average rpm.
CB: 71-74 mph. 12/6 shape with depth on occasion. Flashed feel to land for strikes. Raises arm slot slightly and thrown with less extension than fastball. T2228, 2189 average rpm.
SL: 74-76 mph. Tighter shape with more horizontal action and 10/4 shape than curveball. Flashed feel for the zone. T2245, 2172 average rpm.
CH: 78-79 mph. Feel for pitch, pronates well. Generates natural fade, comfortable spotting it arm-side. T2215, 2101 average rpm.
SPLT: 76-77 mph. Tumbles down with minimal spin, lift, or run. Best when spotted beneath the zone and paralled with a lower-half fastball.
