9/23/18 - Altobella has a strong and athletic 6-foot 185-pound build.  He is a right handed hitting third baseman and pitcher in the 2020 Missouri class.  He ran a 7.48 60 yard dash and a 4.97 home to first.  At the plate, he has a strong lower half, starting open.  Loose and quick hands with a middle to pull approach with good bat speed producing occasional power to pull side.  On the infield, Altobella has soft hands with smooth footwork working through the ball toward first base.  Shows a good three quarter arm action, getting his velocity up to 85 mph across the diamond.  On the mound, he has an athletic and connected delivery with a good over the top arm action.  Slight rotation at balance point in hips, fastball has late two-seam action, 81-85 mph, 11-to-5 breaking ball with tight break late for strikes at 70-72 mph.  He throws his change up at 73-75 mph, near fastball arm speed. 

2/10/18 - Altobella is an athletic 6-foot 185-pound right-handed hitting third baseman and right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2020 class.  He ran a 7.48 60 and has an 89 mph exit velocity. At the plate, open stance, smooth load to back side, some pre-pitch rhythm in hands, short stride, middle to pull side contact, aggressive bat speed, occasional pull power.  On the infield, 80 mph positional velocity, high three quarters arm slot, loose arm action, smooth footwork to the ball, momentum to throw after the catch, controlled athletic actions, mostly accurate throws with carry. On the mound, Altobella has a strong frame and developed lower half, over the top release, smooth and repeatable delivery, loose arm action, slight rotation at balance point in hips, fastball has late two-seam action, 81-85 mph, 11-to-5 breaking ball, showed depth with late action, lands for a strike, throws change up at 73-75 mph, near fastball arm speed.
