2/17/17 - Beuerlein is a 6-foot-1 190-pound right-handed hitting catcher and right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2019 class.  He ran a 4.43 home to first and has a 90 mph exit velo. At the plate, starts with a thin base and open stance, slightly closed in stride, middle to pull side contact, flashing pull power.  Behind the plate, pop times between 1.95 and 2.15-seconds, 77 mph positional velo, low set up, staggered feet, quick glove to hand transfer, over the top release, soft hands, somewhat accurate throw with carry. On the mound, Beuerlein sat mostly 84-86 mph with his fastball, touched 86 on three pitches, strong framed with an over the top release, controlled leg lift with a coil at balance point, accelerated down the mound, breaking ball had 11-to-5 action, some flashing late and sharp break, change up at 74-76 mph, near fastball arm speed.

10/23/16 - Beuerlein is a strong bodied 6-foot 185-pound right-handed hitting catcher and right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2019 class.  He ran a 7.52 60 and a 4.62 home-to-first.  He has an exit velo of 83 mph. At the plate, balanced set up, reverse toe tap, in line stride, middle to opposite field contact during batting practice, level path through zone.  Behind the plate, 1.97 to 2.06-second pop times, one of the top pop times of the event, over the top release, fluid glove to hand exchange with momentum through the through,  feet work with hands, mostly accurate throws, some with back spin carry, 77 mph positional velo, one of the top catcher's velos. On the mound, Beuerlein has a strong and projectable frame for the mound, over the top release, loose arm action, body stays under control during delivery, in line direction toward the plate, throws with some effort at the end of delivery, fastball works at 79-82 mph, breaking ball has gradual 11-to-5 shape at 70-71 mph, shows signs of being a good pitch as he continues to develop.
