At the plate, Murray posted an exit velocity of 80 mph, up right stance, leg lift, pre-pitch rhythm with hands, short and in line stride, leverages front side, level bat path, remains balanced throughout swing. Defensively, athletic actions on the infield, quick feet, clean arm action, low three-quarter release, momentum towards target, very accurate throws across the diamond topping out at 80 mph.
9/23/18 - Murray is a slim 6-foot 143-pound right handed hitting middle infielder and right handed pitcher in the 2021 Missouri class. He ran a 7.9 60 and a 4.91 home to first. At the plate, Murray has a slightly closed stance with smooth hands and a quiet load, quick and short movement back with his front foot. He has a pull side approach with occasional pop with exit velocity of 84 mph. On the infield, Murray has a good exchange with long arm action and a low three quarters release getting his velocity up to 74 mph. On the mound, Murray is a strike thrower. He has a smooth and controlled delivery with a fastball at 72-74 mph. He mixes in a changeup at 66-67 mph with good sink and a curveball at 64-66 mph with a 2-8 gradual break.
