6/7/16 - Burns is a 6-foot-3 175-pound left-handed pitcher from Marquette HS in the St. Louis area.  Burns threw mostly fastball and curveball in his outing.  He was 63-68 mph with his fastball and his curveball showed 1-to-7 action at 55-59 mph.  He has an over the top release, smooth rhythm in delivery, work in-line down the mound and has an athletic finish.

6/17/15 - Burns is a 6-foot-3 165-pound left-handed pitcher in the 2017 class.  Burns was in the zone with every pitch.  His fastball was 77-75 mph, topping out at 78 mph.  1-to-7 shaped curveball, late action, 70-71 mph, change-up at 69-73 mph, slight arm side release.  Burns has some deception in his delivery, with a brief pause at balance, long arm swing, repeats release point, consistently down in zone, works both sides of plate.

2/16/15 - Burns is a 6-foot-3 160-pound left-handed hitting outfielder/LHP, offensively, starts in open stance, lands square, some hand load, smooth rhythm, uses middle of the field, level path, 80 mph exit velo, 4.43 home-to-first.  During outfield evaluations, plays thru ball, momentum thru catch and in throw, over-the-top release, quick exchange and release, 79 mph positional velo. On the mound, projectable frame, over-the-top release, fluid rhythm, stays in line during delivery, throws with regular effort, throws with downhill tilt, 73-76 mph fastball, throws for strike, fastball shows run, Curveball at 65-66 mph, 12-to-6 action, gradual break, change-up at 70-71, near fastball arm speed.
