Morris

Morris is a well-built 5-foot-10 190-pound right-handed hitting catcher and third baseman in Missouri’s 2018 class.  He ran a 4.34 home to first and has an exit velo of 94 mph. At the plate, consistently squared up balls during batting practice mostly to the middle of the field, power potential, tall/open and thin stance, in line stride, aggressive with the ball flying off bat.  Behind the plate, over the top release, quick twitch actions in exchange and feet, throws are mostly accurate with carry, pop times 1.90 to 2.06-seconds, 78 mph positional velo. On the infield, 81 mph positional velo, moves well for size, athletic actions, quick catch and throw, over the top release, somewhat accurate throws.


6/14/16 - Morris is a 5-foot-10 200-pound right-handed hitting catcher in Missouri’s 2018 class.  He ran a 7.65 60 and a 4.94 home-to-first.  His exit velocity was 79 mph.  At the plate, solid consistent contact during batting practice, slightly open, middle of the field line drives with power, quick bat, aggressive, good round of BP, had two doubles and a single in game action, aggressive at the plate during game.  Behind the plate, 1.94 to 2.01 pop times, one of the top pop times for the event, 71 mph positional velo, accurate throws with carry, strong and durable frame, quick over the top release, short arm action, loose, aggressive with momentum, advanced actions.
