2/23/14 – Stephens is a lean 6-foot-1, 162-pound RHP.  Stephens showed good command for three pitches in the zone.  His fastball was at 82-83 MPH with slight cut. He showed an 11/5 shape curveball with sharp, late break at 70-72 MPH and a change-up with cut at 73-75.  He has a high ¾ delivery with a loose, quick arm.  He has good rhythm in his delivery and repeats his mechanics well.

2/23/14 – Stephens is a lean 6-foot-1, 162-pound switch hitting SS.  During the defensive evaluations, Stephens showed good footwork and a clean exchange.  He throws from a high ¾ arm slot and made very accurate throws across the infield with a top throw at 82 MPH.  At the plate, Stephens is a switch hitter with a 73 MPH exit velo from the right and a 72 MPH exit velo from the left.  He has a gap-to-gap approach from both sides.  He has a smooth load and good balance during the swing on both sides.  Stephens runs a 4.53 home-to-first.
