Slightly open athletic stance, strides forward, and lands on line. Hands load back in rhythm, barrel gets on plane early, level path through the zone, and gets solid extension on contact. Line drive approach working the middle of the field well. Maintained balance throughout and finished the lower half completely. Exit velocity was 79 mph. Defensively Byler attacked through the ball when opportunity presented itself. He had solid glove presentation, average hands, and a clean centered exchange. Arm action was short and he threw from a three-quarter arm slot at 76 mph across the infield. Ran a 7.47 60. Worked out of the stretch on the mound. Delivery had some pace to it, waist high leg lift, strides down and out, and lands closed at foot strike. Hips and shoulders level, full arm action, and throws from a three-quarter arm slot. Fastball sat 79-81, worked down in the zone, and showed some late arm side life. Showed ability to work to both sides of the plate.
